Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon Brothers

Zeus was the first Olympian to overthrow Cronus the father of their children. In fear that one of his children would take over him, Cronus swallowed Zeus' sisters and brothers at birth. Cronus' wife Rhea was able to escape the womb to save her son. Zeus was therefore the only child to live.

When the Titans were defeated Zeus and his brothers divided their power among them. Zeus was the sky god and his brother Poseidon was given dominion over the seas.

Hades was born into the worst of all his siblings, and he became the ruler of the Underworld. Hades is often depicted as an ominous, ghastly character who inspires terror and fear in those who meet him. Cerberus is often seen alongside him, the three-headed dog that guards his domain. He also wears a hat known as the Helm of Darkness, and his weapon is the bident, which resembles Poseidon's trident.

The underworld was viewed by the ancient Greeks as an ethereal realm, not a hellish place. Hades was charged with guarding the souls of mortals and women who passed away in order to ensure that divine justice was done for their lives. He is also tasked with creating life and bring rain to those who require it.

Both brothers can kill their adversaries with thunder and lightning. Both brothers can change their appearance. This allows them to communicate with mortals on a more human level. They also can manage weather conditions and are very powerful at sea.

His job is to punish the dead however he does so with fairness and compassion. Hades is the god of protection for all things related to water. Persephone is the most popular of their stories. She was the daughter of Demeter and Zeus and was abducted by Hades for him. Hades fell for her despite her initially reluctance. Hades struck a deal with her. He would allow her to return to his underworld if she spent just a fraction of a year with Hades.

It was not an easy job as Persephone was entangled with her life on earth, and was extremely hesitant to return to her father's realm. In the end, she accepted the terms of the deal. Hades was only able to travel above ground a few times.

How do they interact with one with each

Zeus and Poseidon were two of the most powerful mythological gods. They are the sons of Titan king Cronus and his wife Rhea. They defeated their fathers to become the supreme rulers in Olympus. When they split power they each had control over different parts of the universe. Zeus got the sky, kingship and dominion of the seas whereas Poseidon was granted the sky.

The brothers are very close, but they fight often. Zeus is the oldest and most powerful god of the three. He is the most dominant of the two other gods in most situations. He is also the most ruthless and violent of the Olympians He uses his powers to punish people who annoy or scare him.

He is a wonderful father, but he also appreciates his daughter Hera as the most important of his children. She is a great friend and counselor. He highly values her. She also has the strength to stand up to her father's reckless and impulsive behavior.

Like his sister, Hades doesn't seem to have the same traits as Zeus. In certain myths, Hades appears to covet and envy the power Zeus has. However, in other myths Hades behaves in a snarky manner towards his brother. He also makes false condolences to his brother for the abduction of Persephone. This suggests that he is not concerned about her disappearance.

Poseidon is the King of the seas and earthquakes, which is why he has the ability to cause storm surges, tsunamis, and earthquakes. What is the nature of their relationship?

Each of these brothers controlled vast territories that were more than anything that any god could accomplish. They were wise and cunning leaders who were proud in their power. They also were jealous of each other.

Zeus was jealous that his brother was so loving Hera. He wanted Hera for himself. To get her the girl, he kidnapped her and took her to the Underworld. He made her drink the potion while she was there. This made her Hebe. Hebe and she refused to return to Demeter until she had a child. Persephone was able to spend two-thirds of the year with Demeter and a third of the time with Hades. This also led to the emergence of seasons.

During her time spent with Demeter she began to forget her duties as goddess of fertility. Hades was furious. He decided to get her back. He tricked the girl by changing into a dirty cuckoo. Because of her love for animals the bird was placed on her breast, and she fell in love with him. He then returned to his original form and mated her.

Hades became a loving father and husband to his three children after the wedding. But, he was uncertain about his position on Mount Olympus. He desired to be the center of attention once again. He suggested to the gods that he would bring hell to Earth. After many days of debate the gods finally agreed.

While Hestia is an eminent goddess of peace, her job is to keep the other Olympians in the right place. She is also the patroness of marriage, and provides particular care of married women. She was a pious lady however she did have some affairs with Zeus, the husband of her sister. She had children with both nymphs and mortals including Triton, Theseus, Orion and Pegasus.
