World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades are a way to increase the stats of an Best item upgrader. Depending on the upgrade type, it may boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity and boost additional stats.

Upgrades to equipment in The War Within requires a set number of Flightstones and Crests and each item has an upgrade track. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next one by a certain amount.

Item Level

The value of an item's base stats increase when it is upgraded. The value is the sum of all of an item's upgraded perks (attack magic attack and defense). The cost of upgrading items can be high, depending on the upgrader you choose and what type of upgrade you choose to make. This is due to the sheer number of perks that must be modified to upgrade an item.

It is also used to enforce gating requirements when waiting for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It is also used to limit the amount of PvP gear players can use as PvP is restricted at lower levels. The average item level is listed on the character sheet.

When deciding whether to buy or sell gear players can evaluate the level of an item. It's a measure of the item's condition and its quality. Comparing items in the inventory of a seller can be done by using the item level.

On PC, you are able to check the level of the item using ALT, or by using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. This will show the item's full description, including ilvl. You can also find it by hovering over an item and typing /itemlevel into chat.

There are several theories about the method by which the level of an item is calculated. One theory states that the level of an item is determined by an equation that determines the worth of an item's stats really are. It takes into consideration that different benefits are valued differently and that gems in sockets boost the value of the item. This can lead to an item's ilvl which is calculated and is usually very close to Blizzard's real level of the item.

It's not the only factor that influences the value of an item. The degree of the area in which the item dropped can also change its stats. For instance it can add a level to the item's haste, or crit rating. Items that drop in higher-level instances will have a higher value.

Item Stats

The stats of an item can determine the fate of an item for players. The game utilizes them in many ways to encourage players to not limit themselves to one weapon and to encourage them to try out other weapons. The stat mods on weapons boost base stats. These stat mods are then increased by the player's level.

The upgrades to items add by boosting certain stats on the item. The upgrade costs are determined by the rarity of the item. A white or grey item, for example, will only be upgraded one time however, items that has rare tiers can be upgraded multiple times with higher costs.

Affixes are another way to change an item's stats. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player, and come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Affixes can provide the item extra damage, or give a specific capability to the item (such as reviving the dead or decreasing cooldowns) or make the item unique by adding a special name to the item.

At present, all affixes can be changed by selecting them from the upgrade window and pressing the green button with the arrows that circle. This will cost a certain amount of gold and other items. These can be used as upgrade gauges just like the other rerolling methods.

In addition to the possibility of rerolling affixes, players may select which of the available stats they want to keep on an item when it is upgraded. The range of stats determined by the item's level. However each item will include at least one stat in the range, unless they are an item that is unique or a God Roll from a boss in a raid.

Another thing that could be changed is the possibility of upgrading equipment without having to reroll affixes, or choose which stats to enhance. As with the base equipment, it must be done per item, and the interface for item comparison wouldn't display all possible stats simultaneously.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player increases the chance of finding items and the properties that are generated by loot, and the intensity of these properties. However, it does not directly affect damage or ability to upgrade item items. It simply gives the player a chance to acquire better equipment earlier in the game and is therefore more valuable in the initial game run than later ones because most players value more powerful weapon scaling and defenses over the raw damage gain.

In addition to influencing the discovery of items, Luck also increases the chance of being successful when upgrading items using the Blacksmith. This should not be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade probability that increases with each level and can be further increased by using an anti-material, such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields and weapons come with an initial Luck value of 40. These items can be augmented by using golden ingots or spined leather (depending on the type of material) to increase the value of 40 luck, or to increase the luck of the item to 140.

Furthermore, certain items, like the Hollow infused weapon, can be equipped to increase the damage of any damage-dealing skill by 5percent. These items can be purchased in the shops or made with the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Item upgrades are expensive and not all upgrades will be successful. Cash shop items can be used to boost the chances of success for an upgrade, or to protect players from losing their item in the event that it does not work.

When you upgrade an item, the rate of success is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage is the probability of successful upgrading an item. This can be increased with Additional Materials or Special materials. There are limitations on how much the success rates can be improved and the probability of an upgrade failing cannot be greater than 100%..

The success of an item can be affected by the luck of the item. Every item has an overall success rate of 25 percent and each item that has Luck increases this chance by five percent.

The item upgrade overlays are rendered above items in the inventory. This could block enchantment effects as well as other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
