WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you boosts in specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the item upgrader mod level by +3. A random extra substat is also boosted alongside every upgrade.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless the Best item upgrader has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can be applied to the enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities, and is accessible anytime to upgrade your equipment. To keep your gear up-to-date it is recommended you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks.

Another notable change is that crests only have one usage and it's crucial to use them wisely. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the top-quality equipment that you can find, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is especially relevant for trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character which will only be able to benefit from the account-wide discount if all of the slots are filled with high-quality gear.
