Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

The statistics of an item are improved by upgrading it, also referred to as "upping". Each upgrade item increment gives an increase in linearity of the stats of a particular.

Players can recycle six items at a time to gauge each item's upgraded component. The cost of recycling items scales with their rarity and item level.

Upgrade components

A level upgrade in Guild Wars 2 is a process that can increase the effectiveness of your weapons and armor. There are many types of upgrade components that are available in the game. These include universal upgrades, inscriptions and jewels. The universal upgrades, such as gemstones and enchantments can be placed on any equipment, and offer less than upgrades for specific equipment. Glyphs are only available in gathering tools and offer a variety of benefits, from increasing the speed at which an item upgrader kit gathers to providing extra crafting materials.

To upgrade an item, select it from your inventory and open the Upgrade window. The preview will appear on the right hand side of the screen. It will show the expected stats after the upgrade. If you don't possess enough of either the upgrade button will show as Blocked.

The number of upgrade components needed for a given item upgrades can be seen in the upper-right corner of the Upgrade window. The cost of upgrading increases with the level of upgrade and rarity, but it can be reduced using various methods, including purchasing upgrades from a vendor or trading them with other players.

Many weapons can be improved by adding a prefix, such as a rune or an insignia, and others can be enhanced by adding a suffix. These upgrades alter the name of the item, adding an adjective, for example "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor. The only exceptions are the non-inscribable weapons, such as shields and foci from Prophecies and Factions campaigns, which are not upgradeable with any kinds of mods in any way.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to communicate visual information. They animate in order to grab the attention of the viewer and stimulate curiosity. Each glyph can increase a stat's value by a certain range. This is displayed on the item's page when you open it in the Glyph Storage. This is the maximum value that the glyph can increase a stat's value by, not the amount that it actually improves it by. The actual value of the glyph is determined by the tier and the quality of the product you are creating it for.

The majority of upgrade components inserted into items can't be removed or replaced without dismantling them except for legendary upgrades and equipment. If you have a glyph or rune you don't want to use, but it hasn't been applied to gear yet, you can transfer the item to a different piece by using the Upgrade Glyphs menu on the Glyphs Panel. This will create the new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

If you wish to remove a glyph from an item you must salvage it with a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. The item on which the glyph is placed will be destroyed, but the upgraded item can be salvaged by removing the glyph fragments.

A glyph added to an item could cause it to become unstable and the shards of the glyph will disappear from your inventory when you remove the item. You can also add a glyph to your equipment to give it an extra benefit. Deferred Damage, for example can be used to store damage and be distributed slowly to the wearer rather than all at once. This is beneficial for players who are taking a lot of damage from enemies, but do not want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens permit players to alter the affixes on their weapons and equipment and can be found in various ways like mistery boxes, as rare drops from skulled creatures, or from killing bosses. Each reroll gives the player an affix randomly chosen and typically better than what they had before. Reroll tokens can also be a good method to reroll the stats of a weapon that can be upgraded for better damage or other perks.

Rerolled items are not listed on the menu for upgrade options, but they are still able to be upgraded. When you press the "upgrade button", you can recycle the recycled items. This will alter the layout of the item's window and let up to six items to be chosen for recycling. The gauge of level is increased by recycling an item. This amount is determined by the rarity of the item and its level, which means items with higher levels are more valuable to recycle than lower level ones.

In addition to reroll tokens, players can make use of Star Remnants and Reroll Tokens to roll the Weapon Traits of an upgraded unit. Rerolls will roll a % chance of a weapon's traits. Leveling
