World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades provide players with the possibility of upgrading equipment that they already have. This can be done at any upgrader NPC.

Upgrades boost the stats of an Best item upgrader and add extras based on its type. Examples include Whistan's shield, for FB Sorcs, and Goldwraps for casting builds.

Armour

Armour is among the key things that keeps Link safe from harm in the majority of situations. While it isn't able to be upgraded like weapons, you can improve its defence capabilities in a variety of ways.

Armour is designed to safeguard people or animals from harm or injury from direct physical attack or a variety of activity or environmental hazards. Historically, armour was mostly made of leather or fabric, but later metal protections were used as well for military purposes, particularly such as heavy cavalry or combat drones.

Like weapons there are a myriad of ways that armor can be upgraded however, most of them will require a visit to one of the four Great Fairy Fountains located throughout Hyrule. Each fountain has a unique degree of upgrades available and more will provide higher levels of protection, and needing a higher amount of rupees and other materials to unlock.

The first thing to note about Armor Upgrades is that they are permanent upgrades, meaning that after they've been put in place, they are not able to be replaced unless there is another piece of equipment that has the same upgrade items. It is recommended to only apply the highest-level upgrades to your equipment and make sure that you have the materials needed to complete them.

For those who want to acquire the upgrade components needed to upgrade your character, they are available in various locations around Hyrule, including shrines, shops, and even enemies. They are typically marked with a blue triangle or a gold circle and are available in large numbers as you progress through. While they may appear randomly, there is an opportunity that obtaining certain upgrade components will result in a quest that will reward players with more.

It's also worth noting that, even though the level of protection offered by each upgrade differs, it is the same across all upgrades and will always be better than nothing. A full set of upgraded armor will give you a high-defense boost that will protect against any kind of attack and will also protect against magic. This makes it a formidable weapon for any class.

Weapons

You can upgrade your guns with special upgrades that make them truly unique. These upgrades can increase the damage or alter the stats of the weapon to match your particular build. They also allow new attachments, such as unique enchantments, different types of ammunition, as well as aesthetic options.

You'll require both the upgrade component as well as the weapon itself to upgrade it. The weapon must be above a certain level for the upgrade to be effective and most weapons only take one upgrade at one time.

Weapon upgrade components can be found all over the world from a variety of sources, including merchants or enemies. Upgrade components are a mix of ingredients that you can slot into weapons, armors, trinkets and gathering tools in order to gain an attribute bonus. There are two NPCs who can upgrade your weapons: the Blacksmith Hewg in the Roundtable Hold hub area and the Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor hub area. Both of these NPCs accept your Smithing Stones or Runes to upgrade your weapon.

It's important to prioritise upgrading your top-of-the-line items first, and then those you won't be replacing in the near future. If you're planning to play in a melee-based build, for instance upgrade your weapon first, then your shoulders and chest before your hands and feet. The same principle applies to Magic and Utility Items. But, depending on your style of play, certain procs will be more beneficial than others. The same goes for Armour, with some reforges having superior performance over others.

Magic Items

A character can only upgrade one magic item. If an upgrade plan has been cancelled, no more upgrades will be offered for that item upgrades. Upgraded magic items cost twice as much gold to create or purchase, but can have other benefits.

A magical item upgrading can be any item that has special properties or effects. The majority of these items are weapons, but some are also armor, shields, cloaks, potions, scrolls, rings and other items. Certain of these items can be made to speak.

The majority of magic items can be upgraded to be enhanced with new abilities. This makes them more useful to a player or help them overcome a difficult encounter. A weapon that contains an ingredient that is unique could be able to provide additional damage against a specific kind of enemy. This is especially useful for characters who have reached the point where they are likely to face a single type of monster in dungeons.

A ring that is infused with magic might give immunity to non-magical attacks that bludgeon or pierce or cut (excluding silver-based attacks) until the character is given a second rest. This is particularly useful for melee martial characters or anyone who wants to stay clear of buying a shield.

Certain items enchanted by magic have special powers which allow the character to cast spells in addition to the ones on the list of spells for their class. This is useful for a character who has difficulties filling their spell slots due to multiclassing. These items with enchanted abilities generally require an Intelligence (Arcana) check prior to use them, and the spell cast is determined by rolling an array of tables determined by the number of Intelligence points spent.

Other items that can be enchanted may allow the user to alter their appearance, or create an entirely new one. These items are especially useful for characters who are forced to leave their home, or are located in an area in which they are not accepted. An item that is magical can provide them with an invisibility effect, or perhaps make them invisible to all except a chosen person.

Utility Items

Utility items are any equipment that doesn't fall under the categories of Armor or Clothing and are able to perform a variety of capabilities. Utility items are not compatible with each other, as opposed to weapons or armor. The majority of utility items have a passive effect which players can activate while using them. However, some of them have additional abilities that can be activated by pressing a button, or by activating a skill.

The most popular kind of utility item is the Flashlight that is used to illuminate the surrounding area. Other items that are useful include the Helicopter Cap and Rocket Boots which allow the player float in mid-air while moving and the Jetpack which allows the player to accelerate in all directions when on the ground. Several utility items can be instantly produced in the Engineering section, while others are unlockable through research projects or experimental projects in the Proving Ground.

Players can gain more powerful utility items in addition to those they have in their usual inventory by purchasing them from the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Some of these items can be upgraded to allow greater effectiveness.

Most utility items enhance an individual combat ability or give the player some sort of advantage in navigation. For example, Sharpening stones made by the Weaponsmith increase Ferocity and Power as well as Maintenance Oils created by the Huntsman improve the concentration and healing power. Other useful items such as Writs or Theses crafted by the Scribe, can be used to give the player either a boost in damage or condition damage.

All XCOM soldiers can equip a utility item at the beginning of the campaign, and an additional slot becomes available by equipping certain types of armor or completing engineering, research or experimental projects in the Proving Ground. During the Alien Hunters DLC, additional slots are added by equipping the Grenade Launcher which lets the player equip a Smoke Grenade or Bomb in an additional grenade slot, while an offensive grenade can be placed in the main slot for grenades.
