Line-up

Turn Back, the band's third studio album, was an attempt to return to the classic sextet format and an even more consistent and powerful effort that had a more grittier edge. The edgier sound of Turn Back was a reflection of the maturation in the group. Bobby Kimball's growing proficiency was evident in the vocals of Joseph Williams, who had grown more confident and mature.
